Care Applications

S4Fashion Project – Sustainable Solutions for Fashion

Care Applications® is participating in the S4Fashion project, a European initiative co-funded by the COSME programme, which supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the development of circular and sustainable products, services, and business models for the fashion industry. The project’s mission is to support, connect, and empower transnational partnerships collaborating to create innovative solutions. Over its three-year duration, S4Fashion will generate new evidence-based knowledge on sustainability and circular economy, sharing it with the entire European fashion ecosystem.

Collaboration with Jeff Montes

Within S4Fashion, Care Applications® collaborated with designer Jeff Montes on an experimental pilot that combines zero-waste design, recycled materials, and sustainable dyeing processes. The work was based on three main pillars:

  • Circular design: use of recycled sails, marine plastics (Sea Plastic Waste), RPET monofilament and multifilament, local fabrics, and modular digital patterns that minimize waste.
  • Local and artisanal production: carried out between the Netherlands and Spain, combining innovative pattern-making, collaboration with textile workshops (Joyper), and handmade garment production.
  • Sustainable dyeing with ECOFinish®: application of Care Applications®’ atomization technology to perform dyeing and finishing processes using minimal water and chemical products.
